Sarisan presents “Slovak Music” on this CD. The folklore ensemble Sarisan was founded in 1967 in the village of Vel’ly Saris near the district of Presov in eastern Slovakia. Its founders were rank-and-file lovers of folk arts and folklore traditions. In the first years of its activities the ensemble based its programs on authentic folklore of eastern Slovakia. The ensemble consists of three groups: the musical group, the singing group, and the dancing group which all work hand in hand. Most of its repertoire continues to be drawn from the folk traditions of the local Saris region. There is Quality Slovak Music throughout this CD. Check out this CD today!
